Each bin lid draws 120W and yield is in the 100 - 120G range. The side lighting uses a lot of power, another 100W. Best yield to date produced .85GPW but that doesn't take into account the inefficient side lighting. Factoring the side lighting in drops the GPW down to 0.5.

I don't know really. I just like rubbish bins. And it's really efficient and convenient. No heat issues thanks to the air extraction.
