MOLD in jars - I have to scrap the buds, don't I?

:wall: Must have jarred a tad too soon - 3 of the small Ball jars w/ Bessie/Trixie nugs are sprouting white whispy mold. Ugh. Thank goodness that I gave the big jars a very long burp yesterday, but because I fear their moisture, since the other buds don't have big stem hangers anymore, I...

What can you do if it's gotten too dry after putting in jar?

Checked jars today. One jar that wasn't very full has gotten rather crispy. What can I do? Is there a safe method to rehydrate and go a little backwards to continue the curing? It's a bit harsh still. Thanks in advance!

    trichs, microscope, digital blue, 60x

Hey there - Just got a Digital Blue microscope (for kids) that I found super cheap. It only runs on a PC but it kicks ASS for checking out your baby's sticky parts. This is Trixie - just snipped a tiny tiny bit (like a grain of rice size) and I can see VERY clearly now! LOVE THIS TOY! I'm...

To make butter...do I need to dry the trim first?

I just can't see an answer anywhere. All I see is dried stuff. I have about a cup and a half of trichy trim that I want to use to make cannabutter but I can't seem to find out if it needs to be dried and cured like "regular" bud. I'd like to cook it down tonight if I can, but mine is currently...

How dry do you want the curing room? PIC

Hey there - I'm concerned my moisture level is too low where I am drying. It's currently 32% humidity and will likely only get dryer as the week goes on. Is there a humidity range that is considered best?

Fan leaves yellowing? 9th week flowering

Hey there - Trixie's fan leaves are yellowing. I thought it might be from overwatering so I let her dry out as much as possibe and hoped she'd improve. She didn't. Now I'm thinking that she's probably just rootbound as all hell in her recyling tub. Her trichs are somewhat cloudy. I would like...

    Trixie is getting sticky! (PICS)

Just wanted to share my happy Friday - went in the greenhouse to check on the girls this a.m. and Trixie is starting to get sticky! I feel like a Mom that sees the first signs of impending maturity on her daughter. Awwww! Look at her! I'll post more on my grow journal - comments welcome here...

Dropped something in greenhouse, amputated branches in flower...can I clone them?

 Hey RIUppers - I was puttering in the greenhouse and dropped a plexiglass sheet on one of my plants (Etta, who is struggling anyway). It broke off about 6 branches that are in flower. Can I clone them or is it just a loss? (UGH!) Also, do I need to do anything for the poor stalk...

SpiderMites, flowering - help! How can I treat them?

I have spidermites on two female plants (Mamie and Millie) I'm almost 1 month in to flowering and have to control them NOW. Is there anything that I can do that won't make my girls nasty to smoke...if they live? Pics will be up in a few minutes. Thanks in advance. :weed:

    5 confirmed females, FINALLY. (PICS)

Today I was able to affirm sex of all of my plants - I think between the seeds I sprouted and the 4 orphan (and abused) seedlings that I raised, I must have had about 17 plants. Some died along the way, some were already killed; 1 hermie, 2 boys - leaving me with 7 plants...2 are boys and will...

starting to flower...is it normal for leaves to thin out?

Hi all - This is my first grow and I ended up with (so far) 4 females, all outdoors - I'd post in Outdoor, but this is a general question. Since starting to flower, it seems like the leaves have been thinning out - either that or the branches have gotten longer between the leaf sets. Does...

I think I finally got a female! (PIC)

Holy cow - I think I finally got a female! (If you want to know why that shocks me, see my grow journal for terrible times with boys and hermies.) Let me know what you think - but these appeared and are only getting more distinct by the day. I would be sooooooo happy if what I think turns...

Itsy bitsy spider went up my plant today...

I hope Mr.Spider brings all of his buddies and they eat all of the bad bugs that try to get my plants. Sorry I couldn't zoom in too well on the spider...but he's about a centimeter long and I had the crap camera with me. Happy Friday!

Dutch Master Reverse experiment - now, is it male or female or "other"

This is my little experiment - I have 3 plants outside in an EarthBox. One of them is getting pretty large. It had the signs of balls when I ordered and recieved some Dutch Master Reverse and Penetrator. I sprayed per the directions just to see what would happen. The mini balls that were...

What can I expect after solstice?

Hi everybody - I'm on my first grow and I can't seem to figure out the answer to this question. I'd post in newbie centeral but it's really specific to outdoor. What can I expect after the solstice in terms of growth? Or am I just looking for 12/12 and then less daylight days for my flowering...

Reverse by Dutch Master - can you use it in soil?

Hey there - I'd like to know if anyone has used Reverse in soil and if so, what was your result? I'd like to "influence" two really healthy plants I have that are young to DEFINITELY be female (they are bagseedlings, so with my recent luck, I'll have more healthy boys...grrrr). Thanks in...

Hermie up close and personal PICS galore!

I thought I'd post some of my hermie, who was banished out of the greenhouse last week to go be itself in another part of the yard. I'm growing it because I'm a curious girl. What am I gonna do with it? I don't know - I figured I'd just see what it does. :) This plant was germinated in a peat...

I've got more balls than the NBA. *~(PICS)~*

Definitely have a hermie (those pics will be after the first two), but now I think I've got a big baby boy on my hands. It really sucks because this little bagseed beauty is getting nice and big - the stalk is almost as big as my pinky. It's in an Earthbox with 3 other plants. They aren't doing...

Can you castrate boy plants**? How about hermies**? PICS

**no offense to human boys and hermies! ;) I think my hairy potted plant is a hermie. The hairs are VERY obvious and now there are big ol' balls. And, double bummer, looks like my largest plant in the Earthbox is a dude. I spy clusters coming....but maybe they are leaves? Maybe I'm in...
