Best COB (CXB3590) color temperature for flowering?

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm going to go for the 3000k's since Jerry has those in stock. I'll probably start phasing in a couple higher K COBs once I get these first few arrays going. The numbers the 4000k's do look pretty nice though.

Best COB (CXB3590) color temperature for flowering?

Hi All, Curious to what color temperature COBs everyone is using for for flowering. I'm making a CXB3590 array and not sure which color to use. It seems like a good portion of people here use 3000k while others use 3500k (some even 4000k). Any suggestions for the optimal flowering color temp...

Advice With A Few Spider Mite Questions Please

I've used HotShot no pest strips and have known many who use these as well. They work great against mites if used properly, these are one of the few things that I found works quickly and effectively to getting rid of all mites. They need still air to work so turn off all exhaust fans when you...

Looks like it! I'll give CalMag a shot. Does it work better foliar or via soil for fixing this? PS: Good link, bookmarked.

Brown spots on older leaves, turning to necrosis! HELP! (PICS + REP!)

Hi All, I have a few plants in veg that are a couple weeks old, the older leaves on all of them have been developing brown spots(almost looks purple when it begins), and eventually starting to wilt away. Any ideas on what is causing it and how to fix it? +Soil - ProMix with mixed with perlite...

Young Plants Leaves Drooping / Curling Downwards. Sad plants, Help!! :(

topfuel: I was thinking this could be a possibility from the initial feeding, didn't look like soil had good drainage. I made sure to add plenty perlite to the soil for the transplant. Thanks for that chart, good to see I'm more towards the farther end of optimal light distance but still good...

Young Plants Leaves Drooping / Curling Downwards. Sad plants, Help!! :(

ProMix is soil not soilless. I just have perlite sprinkled on top for bug prevention. Do fluro tubes put out much heat? The temps surrounding this grow area are quite low; this HID does a good job at getting the temps where they need to be. Come spring I plan on getting some for this veg area...

Young Plants Leaves Drooping / Curling Downwards. Sad plants, Help!! :(

Unfortunately it's not dimmable, the light has been raised to help reduce its intensity. I've done 24/0 in veg with a 1k for all my previous grows without an issue.

Young Plants Leaves Drooping / Curling Downwards. Sad plants, Help!! :(

Hello, I have some new ladies that aren't looking too swell to say the least. I received some clones a few days ago, which were looking healthy when I got them. I gave them some nutes once (Low dose @ ~150ppm pH'd to 6.5 consisting of: FloraNova, Silica from Botanicare, two humic acid's [Sea...

    huge dissapoinment.

+1 for IMID (bayer tree and shrub) The only thing that got rid of aphids for me. I've tried a handful of other products that didn't perform or only slowed infestation. Systematic insecticides work great, but as stated, give a decent amount of time between application and harvest. It's a great...

Nice job! Mad props for that setup. That cleared up a lot of things for me, I appreciate it! There's only one thing I couldn't see quite correctly, where about in that maze of ducting is your can filter placed at?

    2000w 5' x 10' flower room. Cooling advice needed - diagram inside

Looking forward to seeing it. So with that setup the AC makes negative pressure on the room and thus scrubs the room assuming it has a carbon filter on it correct?

    2000w 5' x 10' flower room. Cooling advice needed - diagram inside

Thanks for all the help everyone! I have a few last questions. I'm debating between a window AC, a single hose, and a dual hose unit. All seem to have their pros and cons. If I get a window AC unit,I can't set it up in it up normally in the room so I was thinking of doing a conversion like...

    2000w 5' x 10' flower room. Cooling advice needed - diagram inside

By ranch I meant single story house. Im actually really close to my neighbors here. Having said that, will a window AC exhaust the smell outside? If so, any way to filter that? If it does smell and you can't filter it would getting a 2-hose AC unit be a better plan? Yep wall looks similar ;)

Heres the d/l on the room: I have a 5x10 room (initially a 10x10good, framed a stud wall to make it said size). 3 walls are drywall covered in panda plastic. The stud wall has no drywall just panda plastic staple gunned to the studs with a zipper on it to enter. -i live in a ranch so...

    2000w 5' x 10' flower room. Cooling advice needed - diagram inside

So taking everyones point into consideration, leaves me with a few options. 1) if I get an AC unit for the room should I have the hood ducting go: A] intake from outside of room -> into room & through both Lights -> inline fan -> exhaust toto attic (pos pressure in room due to AC) or B]...

    2000w 5' x 10' flower room. Cooling advice needed - diagram inside

I currently have 2x 1000w HPS lights in my flower room, and heat is becoming (well, has been) somewhat of an issue. Temps never go over 87 with lights on but that's still way too hot for my liking. I have a 400cfm fan making negative pressure in the room, and pushing that air through the 2...
