As the above poster alluded to with 600 vs 1200 ppm, it could simply be your reservoir is currently larger than what the plant needs. For instance, 2 rooted clones in a 10 gallon reservoir would not change the ec unless by evaporation.

I could try it once with the light in the middle over both tables adjusted to the tallest plants. I use clones so they don't stretch drastically so it could only be 6 inches further away. I was also told plants need the most light during the last few weeks
