Im running a 150hps it seems like it would draw alot of moisture out of the soil quicker Using a 14 inch by 7 inch tall coco lined pot Is it ok to cover topsoil in a layer of perlite to help keep soil from drying out to fast? Can an LST on a stretching plant be an advantage in the long run, or will the node sites still be spaced to far apart in the end?

I see MH bulbs available in 150w, what i do not know is are they compatible with 150w systems, or does it have to be a very specific type bulb, or ballast to work?

My question is for people who use this particular soil. Do you or have you ever had a gnat infestation after a few days from them spawning in the soil? If so how did you decide to correct this without chemical pesticides?
