    When to add nutrients

Your 7x2x10 space is surely enough for your plants but an attempt to get a big harvest by growing an exceedingly tall plant (because you have 10' ceilings) is a waste considering light penetration. Some people figure 2.0-3.0lb per 1000 watts of light but that is usually a scrog/sog and those...

    Hash Plant in NFT system

This system is a little expensive for someone new to hydro. I used only the top of the line parts (Reservoir, pump, schedule 40 PVC....etc) and it can be built much cheaper. The cost of the parts were in the neighborhood of $500.00. My recommendation would be for an aerotub which can be built...

    Correct Hieght for HID

You're welcome! Just remember that those refer to lumen output and have nothing to do with the heat generated. Ventilate those HID fixtures, keep em cool and you're good to go. HID's do wonders when you can get em close......these are at 23 days of 12/12

Mitus Grow Journal - Indoor Growtents

Silly me.....I assumed with all those colas $ wouldn't be an issue. :blsmoke: Tried to +rep you but RIU told me to "spread it around" before I did it a second time. Seeee.....watchin out for ya.

Now I'm jealous. ;-) You didn't say what the issue with the 6" was. Why are you going to 4"?

Mitus Grow Journal - Indoor Growtents

ahhhh....looks like you got it all under control. I'll bet you're making a lot of RIU'rs jealous! Look at these monsters. That pic was taken at 23 days in to 12/12. HashPlant....supposed to be 40day strain. We shall see.

Mitus Grow Journal - Indoor Growtents

Hey Mitus! Whadup? Long time-no speak! Very nice grow-op! Whats up with the 6".....you said problems. Can't you move the chiller outside the room and go with an external pump for the sprayers? If possible use a small separate submersible pump for circulating water through the chiller. Chillers...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

Thanks for the comment. I disagree about cola/bud size but this isn't a "who's looks better" forum. His grow is 4-5 days further along than mine but we're both under (2) 600's. His colas look OK but look at the internodal distance. I would bet those plants haven't stopped vertical growth yet...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

Since we're quoting him what he said is that his colas "never fill out". That says TEMPERATURE ISSUES! I'm not gonna argue with you. I've been growing for over 20 years and I know what an Sativa cola should look like at 27 days under (2) 600's. In case you didnt see the pic here is my current...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

One last time......I never said they "looked like" anything. I said that IF they were BigBud (which he said in the first post) then they are 85% Indica and are highly stretched. Look...he is trying to combat a problem that he's had time & time again. What makes you think those are "normal...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

They look a little better but they still look stretched. That shouldn't be an issue under (2) 600S if you flower around 12" and make the temp corrections I mentioned. Here's something I posted earlier: Why waste light and electricity growing stem? Stretched-out plants are the bane of indoor...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

In his first post he said "BigBud". He may be mistaken but BigBud is NOT primarily Sativa. Most BigBud is around 85% Indica and 15% Sativa. Those plants are WAY overstretched and he mentioned that his buds never seem to fill out. He has temperature issues.

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

OOps....getting my posts mixed up...sorry guys. Rivers....he said they were BigBud and I assumed he knew what he planted. They LOOK like Sativas or highly stretched Indicas. Don't you think they look a little airy/lanky regardless of the strain? That heat is really gonna affect the bulkiness...

I wasn't commenting on what they looked like since you said they were BigBud. My comment was to the other poster who said that BigBud was primarily Sativa.

    Hash Plant in NFT system

Thanks KS. Nope.....no deficiency's showing yet but I have a few weeks to go. It isn't exactly home made since I own a mechanical/electrical contracting firm and have access to all the materials and tools to do it correctly. I love H&G but this is my first grow using it. I do change once a...

whats wrong with these plants..... pics...

Your heat is DEFINITELY a factor on why they "never fill out". Too much heat= airy colas.
