How does a digital indoor/outdoor thermometer work?

there is one sensor on the unit itself, and one attached to that long wire leading from it. You can use that to get temperature readouts for two locations in the room (one down low near the intake and one up near the lights). Hope this helps!

    Tie your own SCROG net

I had initially planned on doing exactly that. That is a good frame and grid! You'll have an easier time maintaining that as strings accidentally get snipped.

    My First Build...Home-made 10 site hydro/aero setup......

WOW, that is one of the most impressive DIY jobs I've seen! If it were mine (and I wish it were), I'd upgrade to a 400 or 600 hps and do 10 lollipopped plants in it and use your current light for a mother and clones. Seriously, your research and hard work really show in this. Excellent job!

    Tie your own SCROG net

Oh, sorry 'bout that! After you determine the width of your net and the size of its openings, measure and mark the rod at those intervals. I used 4" openings, so I measured 4" intervals and marked the rod with a permanent marker. Count the marks on the rod and cut this many strings at 3X-4X the...

    Tie your own SCROG net

As kids we used to tie our own nets for catching fish in streams (don't tell Fish&Game!) and for catching small animals. It's a useful skill to have and is pretty easy to do. Hang a curtain/show rod at head height. Measure and mark your intervals to determine your net spacing. I used 4" here...

When the pistils start retreating back into the calyx and the calyx swells into false seed pods, the flower will be at its heaviest and near its peak potency.

How to go from veg to flower? 24 hours dark before 12/12 ?

24 hours of darkness just costs you a day of growth. The plant will start producing the needed hormones after it receives a series of 12 hour dark nights, not one long night.

    cleaning out buckets

Christ that's a lot of work! I use 35 gallon reservoirs and never have to change my soup throughout the whole grow (constantly monitor water usage and PPM).

35 gallon rubbermaid DWC setup issues

Wrap a thick blanket around the res to block out lights and insulate it against heat. How is your water temperature holding? 30 gallons of water takes a substantial amount of energy to raise/lower the temperature.

Some software I wrote for hydroponic journaling/diagnostics

This started as a little app I planned on using for my own benefit; decided to share it with you guys after it started taking shape. It helps you track pH, PPM, EC, nutrients, water usage, and more. Aids in troubleshooting by pointing out which nutrients have been locked up by pH, how long...

DIY airstones that never need replacing

Indeed you can, and I have. Both materials work fine, but it is a good bit harder making those tiny holes in the PVC. The flexibility of the vinyl is nice too!
