Don't think that 5 on a 480 driver is a overkill. The max tested current on those strips is 3.6a, with 5 strips, each will run on 2a, well below their max tested current.

    Samsung F Strip Build

No, I can't. 10-15 would be too close to my taste, if I can I like to keep close to 30-40cm. I see you are concerned, 5 exclamation marks and all , no worries - they're getting plenty of light, even from down there.

thanks! you got it, more coverage and less heat. personally, i would run them on more amps for a 5x5 or more strips per fixture.my other tent is 5x5 and has around 800w-900w of cobs and boards (and now strips too- added 2 strips on a 100w\2a driver)

    Samsung F Strip Build

i wanted full coverage. each strip is running on 0.555a, where it could run on 1.4a. you could run 6 of those on a 320w driver if you want.

Anyone has any idea on the min current I can run those w/o heatsinks, just an aluminum frame? Was thinking about running 10 strips on...

    Samsung F Strip Build

I got 14 strips, I believe @Polyuro ordered 6 based on his post. Not too sure on how to utilize them best, 6 strips will go to a 0.80*0.80cm flowering tent that is currently vegging under a 400w. This is the first time I'm getting to play around with strips, can't wait The other 8 will...
