Maybe use your 400w with a conversion bulb for veg and then put a 600w for flower in 2 smaller tents? Then you could have a constant cycle going. Like Pipe Dream, ventilation will be most critical. Good luck.

I don't know about switching to the cfl for a day or so, but check out the veg I have under a 1000w HPS full spectrum bulb. Pretty awesome. I stuck with the HPS because I didn't want to blow $150 on a conversion bulb.
