I'll opine that this type split won't faze her. I had one split from the first top side almost down to the soil with no noticeable I'll effect. In my case it was from failing to relieve tie wire tension as the main stalk grew vertical. Wound up wrapping with medical tape and a small hose clamp .

Yeah 4-5 days is typical for a reasonably heathy plant. I recently flipped a sick photo (long story involving happy frog soil) that sucker took 10 days to start. She since recovered and fine now yet stunted. Popped an auto to help take up the slack.

The Apera with the replaceable probe. Mine has served me flawlessly for I'm guessing going on two years on the original probe. Using kcl solution for storage isn't optional imo but mandatory. Also, the little probe guard on the tip comes off to make it easier to clean the funk out from time to time.

I had one do that. It grew out just fine. Couple or three toppings and you'll have more colas than you can shake a stick at.
