    Canna coco??

I get your sceptism. If someone told me the same, I'd smile and move on but I shit you not. To give a better picture, it was a seedling I didn't like the look of, took it out around 3 weeks and potted upto 16L fabric, sat by the window and introduced to outside for few days and then slung it out...

    Canna coco??

May I ask how both of you define inert when it comes to grow media? I understand loosely to mean a media that contains no minerals and does not absorb any with watering. Like pebbles or perlite. Coco clearly isn't that so I'm confused as why it is called inert or most likely i just don't...

When to flush? How much longer till harvest?

Maybe some clarity on flushing and leaching would be useful. Flushing is literally dumping water through in quantity and maybe why some people are against it, it isnt required in coco and questionable on the whole if grow has gone somewhat well and not ridiculously overfed or lockouts, ph issues...

    Always struggle in seedling stage

Sorry buddy, youtube guys. Lots of independent tests with par maps on there so you can set correct heights and intensity as grow develops.

    Always struggle in seedling stage

I can't quite tell in photos but are they on a narrow table or is it possible to group them under the light a little more? If you don't mind the power usage by all means use the two for better coverage in a row but even at 30% power and say 24" would likely be more than enough until they perk up...

VPD... yes, another thread on it, but with a twist.

Hi, old timer here who sways from spreadsheets when experience suggests otherwise. Just curious how would two exact grows differ if only variable was 55% humidity / 70% humidity for last 2-3 weeks of flower? Would yield suffer so much? I guess more commercial operation, small numbers become...

    Always struggle in seedling stage

I don't know about the tubes but looks too much light and no need to have side lighting yet, if it all. One sf1000 directly above all of those grouped together would be fine at that stage for them to recover and stretch out. Need at least 16-20" and I'd go 24-30" height to start with if on full...

How much does bulb brand matter?

Not sure if these brands are relevant to you but gives an idea of difference in output at different costs. I always advise the Philips and costs only a tad more. https://www.onestopgrowshop.co.uk/blog/600-watt-hps-lamp-shootout-we-find-the-best-grow-lamp

    New grower please help

What are temps/rh, light intensity, feed strength/ph and water regularity? Check against ideal for your setup. All or some maybe out. PM shouldn't be an issue at that stage and looks like you're in a standard room so I'd lean more toward room condition, carpet is not ideal and be sure to clean...

    My simple auto irrigation

Nice job, what pump and timer are you using? I was thinking of making one for coco with basic pump and control flow to ensure correct quantity but timing would be by the minute. Also prefer how yours feeds from tube rather than submersible. Thanks

    Mixjoy LED QBs

True but I think it's fair to say that all these leds are knock offs so best we can do is go through the variants, sift out the shit and get the best deals we can. As far as qb style leds go it has extra features that may become the norm in the rest soon and its priced far cheaper than spider...

    Mixjoy LED QBs

Hi, Anyone have any thoughts or used mixjoy led? Particularly interested in the newly released S model of their GL series. Has lm301 and meanwell driver and S models have new app control which although gimmicky looks interesting. My location they are branded different and only getting usual...

    Help with lighting

Hi, take a look on yt for the amazon light reviews. Between a couple of the led growers, they've reviewed most of these with par maps, power usage and other useful info. My 2p.. Avoid spider sf1000d and Mars TS600 models as they are fairly low output and hyped up on brand. TS1000 Mars is a...

Smart Phone PAR / Light Meter App, "Korona" - Compared to Apogee MQ500

Hopefully they release android soon. I've tried a couple other apps and compared against the maps from tests with proper meters and they seem accurate enough to be useful information. I'd guess that each phone and its sensor may give different readings in the same app. I'll try some other...

    Thoughts on this review - SF1000 versus PB1000 versus MF1000 versus TS600 versus TS1000

Ive tested some of these and EU variants and conclude similar as the AlboPepper review and yourself have. It seems cost at the time is a big factor as they seem to change often where I am. Mars pricing is attractive (or was) and ts1000 still solid enough plus extra 50w or so. Sf1000 i dislike...
