So I got a question and I’ve read that fresh seeds don’t germinate very well. Is this true? If so anyone have any techniques to help with better germination of fresh seeds. Only asking because I’m wanting to experiment with some homemade seeds this spring outside.

So question has anyone ever used a silica supplement in soil grows? I know growers use it in hydro.but was curious if anyone has used it for a soil( aka potting mix) grow? Does it improve plant health? Or is it more marketing wank-ateering.

Maybe this is taboo but I'm curious what others think. Myself I'd never spray them on flowering plants at any stage of flower. But for veging plants to control an infestation of aphid or spider mites I don't think it would be a problem.. thoughts, concerns... any input is appreciated.. been...
