I just don't understand why burning them is any worse than cutting them off... unless the plants wastes its energy trying to fix the burnt part of the plant or somethin. I do like the idea of bending the stems, that's what I've been trying, they seem to just shoot back towards the light but...

can anyone else confirm this? That's the other big question I've been pondering, if the lights are burning the plants anyways, what's the harm in leaving them touching the light and slowly dying rather than me cutting them off, wouldn't it get more out of that?

I guess they can't be too upset, they have lots of light, the leaves touching the CFLs die, but I'd imagine CFLs do not make enough heat to ever light the leaves on fire or anything.

So far so good. Minimal plant damage from the Dr.Doom spray and I still can't find anymore. Might have gotten most of them. I found the bomb though at a local hardware shop so at the next sign of troubles I'll use that. Don't use AVID while flowering! That shit can kill you.
