I wouldn't worry - those first true leaves always crash early. And don't water lightly cuz it's MG - that's a myth. It's important to water enough to get a little runoff out the bottom EVERY time you water, especially with MG. You want to keep those soil salts moving down the soil column...

Are they coming out that way (ie. as the sugar leaf unfurls, it already has purple trichs?)? Or did they go from clear to cloudy to purple? If the latter, then I'd say it indicates your harvest is near. How long has it been in flower?
