    Un-idenitified Problem Getting Worse!! Pics

Are you sure your "small gnats" are gnats and not thrips (a flying, leaf sucking insect). Usually, the gnats orient to the soil. If you turn your leaves and have stuff flying away you may have thrips. Don't wanna argue with anyone, but pH issues are really rare early in soil grows. If they...

    Ozone junior - $80 at nehydro.com -- good for rooms 10x10 to 12x12

can i get in trouble for ordering seeds online?

I dunno.. I think it is, as long as your postman isn't a total prick. And with 40 kabillion credit card transactions flying around the globe, who the fuck is going to track down an order for 10 or 20 beans? Maybe after I finish these donuts.. The only other issue is interception by US Customs...

Problems with Fox Farm anyone relate?

You've nailed it - right along with the "healthiest plants up to 12/12", and flushing being sorta-helpful at best. I made the exact same mistake last year, and have seen it repeated on here a million times. Going to TB too early cuts off too much N; you're not burning them as much as terribly...

ozone generators has anyone used one?

You bet.. nice to have more than one method. I have my room sealed, and the generator sits right outside that door and blasts everything that leaks thru - so that's my two step method.

ozone generators has anyone used one?

Oh, you bet.. they lay down a spray of copper colored dots that look like nute burn, except the leaves are nice and straight (no curls, which almost always precedes nute spotting). Something to stay aware of if you're using one of these.

ozone generators has anyone used one?

I'm using one now. They work. You need to match the power of the generator to the room -- too much ozone = burned plants. If you're venting to an attic, and the generator is in there, you should be good as long as the attic size and generator match up (the ozone has to actually make contact with...

    1st grow and need feedback

Well, I've only done a couple MJ grows; been growing everything else for 25 years, tho. So, here's what I see... Not too sure about the vein issue; I can't see it. Plants look good in the photos. The upcurl could have been heat. Flouro tubes run cool, but cfl's are def too hot for 1" away; 4"...

    NooB Advice

Yup.. that's exactly why I started cutting with seed starter and the MGO. They really take the edge off. The 3- and 6-month pre-ferted stuff is really hot for seedlings. When I first started, I thought it was "simpler" to just fill the pots right out of the bag. But, for all the stress it causes...

    Mandala SATORI Grow [400W]

Nice start; I'm scribed. I've been intrigued with Mandala stuff for awhile; next grow I will def get some of their beans. Their FAQ is great, too. Good luck; I look forward to the next set of pics.

Can the plants survive 50 degree weather?

Nah.. think about all the high plateau / desert areas like Afghanistan where there's shit loads of weed. Those places get cold at night all year long. It's not ideal, but few things are.

About to start my first grow, could use a few pointers from anyone experienced!

Ahh, you clone growers. That just isn't fair. Just kiddin' ya man -- and oh, they'll live alright! They do look really healthy. You're off and running - good luck!:peace:

Tis the season: bubblelicious and superskunk 400W grow

That's a good point -- you'd have to go to Alaska to get that kind of daylight; not exactly the outdoor weed capital of the world. Thanks for the compliment; it's going pretty good overall. Better than last year for sure, when I nute-burned the shit out of everything. This year, I'm having...

    NooB Advice

Speaking of easy, available and cheap soil mixes, I've been getting really good responses from my young plants (aggressive growth, no burns, no curls.. just pure beauty) using this three-stage process of 1) starting seeds in a 40/40/20 mix of MG seed starter/ MG Organic / perlite - run that...

Tis the season: bubblelicious and superskunk 400W grow

Saw your harvest, OMG that shit looks really, really fine. I'm def getting ready to be there, mentally. Yea, I love the breeding thing. The tutorial method on RIU eliminates most of the risk of having pollen flying all over your house, and gives you near-total control of what gets seeded. And...

Oaksterdam t-5 veg 600w hps flower

Aww..man! That is some bomb-ass shit! Way to go. Did you have fun trimming that.. the bud, I mean? It always amazes me when someone talks about trimming as a chore.. I love it! As for drying, I did it exactly by the tutorial on Harvest and Curing (more or less same as d.c. described) - turned...

About to start my first grow, could use a few pointers from anyone experienced!

Cool; sounds like your temps should be good. Maybe a 400W with inline exhaust could work in there. I had one in a 5x8x9 closet once, no proper exhaust.. just a fan, and it'd get high 80's in there; not ideal but workable. With real exhaust, you might do better than that.

    what 1000w ballast is better?

The digital, dimmable variety seem to be the wave of the future. Don't have one; know a few people who are happy with them. It's the way I'm going next year for sure; a Lumatek 600w dimmable, switchable. If you go that way, make sure you don't get an old-school bulb. There's something about...

About to start my first grow, could use a few pointers from anyone experienced!

Looks like a decent plan. Here's a few things to consider: How's your temperatures in there? That's a key thing in small spaces; you'll be surprised how hot it gets in there. Also, the temp outside the chamber will have a huge influence; ten degrees warmer in the shed can mean 25-30 degrees...
