yes you can. The hydro start gives them an early boost through their vunerable age... But if your going to put them in the filthy dirt, it may as well be outdoors to get the benifit of the sun. Dont waste indoor lighting on dirty plants that could be booming in hydro setup.

I wouldnt go more than 1 x 1000W hps per plant, but its your money you might need air-con and ducted hoods to keep the temps down set it up close enough so the lights have overlapping coverage, but focus on air flow
