Yeah I agree with the watering thing, though i couldn't get hold of any h202. Sticky traps will definately help but only for the adult gnats. A layer of sand on the surface can suffocate the larvae apparently.

Is the dark period important? Also can you cure for too long or is it like wine? I did use cling film to begin with but the jar and baggy seems to work great in your setup so i'll defo try it out.

Gnats can be difficult to get rid of as they have a short life cycle and breed every four days i think, try using a nicotine solution to water the soil or get a non toxic bug spray.

You can buy hemp seed as a health food snack and its legal if you can find it. I think that they sterilise the seeds, or at least are supposed to, but i'm sure a few would germ. Could hybridise them.

Try not to worry, could just be concentrating on rooting at the moment. The blue will help veg for sure.
