    Why do trichomes sink?

    Why do trichomes sink? I mean oil floats on the surface of water and the trichome heads are made of non-polar chemicals just like the oil. The repelling forces in the oil ensures a great enough distance between the molecules that it becomes less dense than water and floats. So what’s going on...

    static full melt dry sift

    like 90% of what you've said is an old wives tale. I ignored you for the most part so that we wouldn't go down that road, but here we are. Thread derailed and the topic is the ultimate thread killer "clone degradation." Please take it elsewhere.

    What to do with vape honey?

    Is it shatter though? Mine is always a perma-goo that smells and tastes terrible. I try to use it for edibles but I never want to eat them, so I usually throw or give it away.

    What to do with vape honey?

    I certainly agree that the lipids impede solidification, although I have never been able to make a shatter from decarbed no matter how long it dried. Is that reclaim "shatter" Twitch? Did it come from the vape or dab bong?

    What to do with vape honey?

    I've used the Arizer Q for over 3 years now and that has never happened to me. If anything it might get into the silicon, but it does not get through it. You make the claim you point out the info. It really doesn’t matter because extracts are not pure THC or THC-A and a small amount of another...

    Goo to a solid

    Shit I didn't know that. I'll find that thread. Didn't mean to derail. Sorry guys!

    No it is made in the head, but the trichome stalks without heads (glandular hairs) are made of cells that will mineralize. That hardens the hairs so that they will impale crawling/soft bodied insects and strengthens the defensive system. I would guess mineralization would also cause more...

    Goo to a solid

    You know that you cannot get shatter after decarbing it. Shatter is solid at room temp or everything would be shatter if you put it in the freezer.

    Refrigerating butane

    When you remove the heat (kinetic energy of the molecules) it makes the dissolving process much more mild. I can't speak for not dissolving the waxes (seems correct), but cooling the butane will only make it easier to find that sweet spot in the yield curve. It's sort of like slowing down a car...

    A proper full melt dry sift tutorial. This time the right way.

    Yeah it is the opposite. If you keep scraping the stuff from the front it will continue to get cleaner, so the way he was showing was the long way around. The stuff he starts off with is really clean so its hard to tell what is going on, but my stuff was super dirty so I immediately noticed a...

    Yes sir. There will be two bands on the paper. The one in front will be the same mix as the rest, but the one on the back will be almost all contaminants.

    You're doing a side by side shootout? That's freakin rad. Hopefully it will happen so that everyone can see these methods and realize that high purity dry sift can be made easily. Once they taste it they'll be hooked for life.

    When you brush it around everything (heads, stalks, and any other contaminants) will acquire a negative static charge. They are stuck to the screen but repelled away from each other. When you scrape over the material it causes it dislocate away from the screen and cling to the neutral paper. The...

    Yeah I agree with you MnH, but he posted it for others to replicate and figure out. You were just kind of harsh with your responses is all. I think I have a good idea of what's going on scientifically (hypothesis), and would be glad to explain/discuss anything about it more in-depth if anyone...

    Blunter its because uramag started this thread on ICMAG and DSW just kept abusing him and his tek. I think he finally snapped and is actively seeking ways to cause DSW's demise through trolling and what not. Time to referee here. MnH you should really watch your attitude and stop ranting on...

    static full melt dry sift

    Yep garbage in garbage out, and I got that garbage to like 75-80% heads so I have no doubt if you have a somewhat decent grade you should be able to get it to melt (mine wouldn't). This method is one of many ways to clean your sift, and should be put into your bag of tricks. Its no magic bullet...

    static full melt dry sift

    After experimenting with this method several times now I can say that it DOES absolutely work. It also does not matter which frame you use wood, metal, etc. I cannot stress enough that the material I have been using is just beyond contaminated and dirty to begin with. TBH if this method could...

    how to get rid of mold on buds during the curing process

    The digestive pathway can handle most molds without much problem, it's smoking it that's risky. That's why I would suggest only using your "cleaned" extract for cooking. There aren't any know mycotoxins from grey mold or PM, but I would play it safe by not inhaling the cleaned extract.
