Do you prefer a single plant per DWC bucket, or a bigger DWC reservoir with multiple plants?

When changing nutes in a 5-gallon bucket (DWC), do you take the top off of one bucket (plant included) and set it on another bucket with fresh nutes? In other words, is the entire bucket top, plant, and roots, moved to another bucket? Thanks.
