    chemical ferts

The Drip Store sells drip irrigation kits and fertilizer injectors, but the injectors require water soluble fertilizers. So if you go that route buy high quality chemical fertilizers. And at least with injectors your applying the fertilizer slowly so leaching and waste is cut by around the 90%

Is 5gal bucket enough for outdoor grow?

Come harvest time, don't leave to soil bare. Instead put it to work by growing legumes. They love the colder winter climate anyway. Then when spring rolls around harvest the legumes and chop up the plant and bury it in the bed. Legumes will put nitrogen back into the soil which will help...

Is 5gal bucket enough for outdoor grow?

A 3'x3'x6" raised bed costs under $10 to make out of untreated lumber. It takes roughly six bags to fill and it isn't hard to find good potting soil priced at $4 a bag at the big retail gardening stores (ie Home Depot, Lowes, OSH, etc). Let's do the math... $4 x 6 = $24. That's less then a bag...

    chemical ferts

I was able to go without fertilizers last year with a Sativa strain by doing crop rotation and growing in raised beds. I had to use more soil then normal but I was able to get a little over three pounds and I must have spent under $20 per plant.

    chemical ferts

I love organically grown cannabis but I must admit chemical fertilizers do have their place. The problem for me is dealing with the waste. When you go large scale you have to be more careful because the nitrates leach and can contaminate ground water. And don't think for a minute the Feds...

I sprayed my plant with sovereign silver

I wouldn't give it to a person with a compromised immune system but honestly I doubt it stays in the plant for more than a week, but since I'm not a plant biologist I really have no idea

I sprayed my plant with sovereign silver

There are two ways to make feminized seeds, one involves letting the plant live a few weeks longer unfertilized to induce self pollination and the other which is favored by commercial growers is to spray plants with colloidal silver aka the stuff you just sprayed. I'm not saying they will hermi...

    Duplicating Wild Landrace Soils

Grow a dozen or so plants, let them go to seed, tend to those plants as you normally would, and let those go to seed. Keep repeating and after five generations you got your own land race strain that's properly acclimated to your region. Land race strains are very hardy but also have lots of...

Is 5gal bucket enough for outdoor grow?

I start in one gallon indoors then if I can't get them in the ground within four weeks (usually three) then I'll put them in 10 gallon pots for a week or two. However once I forgot about one and left it in the 10g for a little over a month. The roots got a little root bound and yield took a...

My friend in Orange County had a Sativa he started indoors and put them outside in April. It immediately went into flower and eventually it did hermi on him. It was his first or second year though and it's my guess that he didn't change the light schedule to match the outdoors and/or didn't take...

Request for info. about re-using SOIL

In short, go right ahead. The danger with reusing soil is that it allows plant viruses and easy place to take hold. Since regular gardening soil is cheap, most people replace the soil each season when using containers. In raise beds and open fields savvy gardeners practice crop rotation to...

My girlfriend keeps the AC on all the time. House is usually 65*F-70*F and the seeds do fine. I have a small little setup in our closet for germinating seeds that hasn't failed me yet. Its just four one gallon fabric pots filled with a good seed germination mix (like Fox Farm Light Warrior or...

    4th attempt after 3 unsuccessful

The problem with high humidity is mold and seed rot. The safe range to prevent mold and rot is 70°F @ 70 RH. However most of know that increasing the temperature to 80°F improves germination. In order to do this safely you should be compensating by lowering the RH to 60-50. Alternatively you can...

Lightning sounds fine. Cannabis requires "full sun" which means six or more hours of direct sunlight a say. Generally morning sun is better and to do that you want to position the plants on the south side of the "mountain" (house, trees, etc).
