    strengthening seedling stem?

A tip for avoiding this in the future is to sow directly into medium and immediately place them under lights. Keep lighting on 24/7 until it sprouts then switch to 18/6 or whatever schedule you prefer. Essentially skipping the pre germination step altogether. Doing it this way insures the...

    one leaf

Most of the time when the cotyledon gets damaged the seedling dies. At least that has been my first hand experience. Not much you can do other then wait and saying a little prayer and hope it recovers.

    Milk?

Never heard of milk as a fertilizer but I know it has antifungal properties and many gardeners mix milk and water in a bottle and spray the leaves to control mold and mildew.

Cold Frames....Any one ever tried them?

What I love about cold frames is the plants are immediately acclimated to the daytime and night time temps. However you only get a few weeks head start which is more than enough of an edge to help your plants compete against native weeds and grasses. Although starting indoors allows you such a...

    Chemical nukes to organic tea.

Guano is hot and it's not any better then blood and bone meal or even traditional manures. If your getting nutrients burns its probably because the soil is hot and or your feedings to much to early. Rather then spending more money on fertilizers, first find out what you did wrong. While I grow...

Boiling water to water my ladies??

See if your Water Company has a website and look up your annual water report. The report tells you exactly what's been found or added. My water company even goes on to explain all the sources of water, be it from streams, and rivers, and basins or purchase from another state. A lot of people are...

    Help!!!

I don't know anything about what you used, your schedule, or your methods so I'm pretty much flying blind here but here goes.... first thing I'd do is test the soils pH and NPK levels. Sometimes the nutrients are there but because the pH is off they aren't available to the plant. In this case...

    Will a flush fix them?

The really damaged leaves will die and fall off. The rest will have damage but will continue to grow until eventually they are replaced by new sets of leaves. I don't know if a flush per say will do anything (could even make it worse) but skipping a few feedings or easing back a bit should help...

Weak stems? No circulation? Drooping leaves

how do the tips of the leaves look? Are they pointing up or down? And do you notice any problems with new leaves that are growing out? Usually when I see purple I think low temperatures or pH related nutrient lockout.

Lets Talk About Rust Fungus & What You Need To Know.

I get this on my rose bushes from time to time. I usually snip the effected area and spray a sulfur dust. Haven't had this on my cannabis plants yet but I'm sure it's just a matter of time.

    Buckets or ground?

I run Kellogg as is straight out of the bag. I don't add perlite, fertilizer, or anything else. At least not initially. I wait until I see the plants asking for nitrogen. Sometimes they never need to be fertilized other times they only need a small amount. It depends on how big your plants are...

    Buckets or ground?

I hate digging. To much work and it's completely unnecessary. Instead try building a small raised garden bed for each plant. If you don't need the portability of buckets, raised beds is the way to go. A 3'x3' bed that's six inches tall is a good size to start with. It will take about six bags of...

jus ordered a perc bong still looking for addons

I'm ridding without add-ons right now. My previous 2-chamber bong had a separate percolator. I loved it when I had it, but what I didn't like was how it made it the bong feel unstable when it was filled with water. If I emptied the bong after each use like I should have it probably wouldn't have...

super silver haze #9 by sensi seeds, any thoughts or experience?

I could be completely wrong but I thought it was Super Silver Haze by Green House Seed Company was the one to win all the awards. Then Shanti left and took his F1 along with a few other strains he created and made Mr Nice. Anyway I have the GHSC version and it's an impressive yielder. Although a...

    Remote door locking system?

It's a cool proof of concept gadget, but as far as effectiveness goes, I don't think it would prevent a kick in. At best it will prevent your honest friends from taking a sneak peek while you're away. At a minimum you want to install a door frame reinforcement plate, a deadbolt, and a deadbolt...

Questions for next season (spring) experienced growers only please!

Yeah I wouldn't use CS on my plants. Hashberry by Mandala Seeds is supposed to be a good outdoor Indicas strain with strong mold resistance. After picking a mold resisting strain I'd do a biweekly spray alternating between using a milk-water solution and sulfur dust.

    question about autos

plan on investing at least three months. Some say autos skip the veg phase, but I would say it's around 2-3 weeks. They go from seedlings to flower very fast. Using separate veg and Bloom nutes is trickier then just an all in one. In fact I'd personally skip nutrients and grow in larger...
