    Protect plants???

I worry more about home invasions then my plants getting stolen. The first thing I did was reinforce the door locks and door frame and added motion security lights. Then I fixed the fence and started keeping it padlocked. Later I added ornamental cow bells to my fence as a old school early...

brain shocks when I smoke weed?

People have different reactions to weed and other substances. I have personally never felt a jolt or anything near what you described. I have taken large doses of shrooms (6+ grams) and tripped hard but didn't see visuals and it's never reoccured days later while smoking or drinking. If your...

    Outdoor Auto's!!

Most autos I've come across are pretty short at around 2 feet. I don't think you'll run into a height problem. Grow as many as you can, spacing them 12 inches apart, and keep an eye on your night time temps.

    Magnifying question.. please help

I know a lot of people sware by those cheap Radio Shack pocket microscopes, but I can not stand them. If you can afford it, definitely go digital. For $100-$160 you'll get a good USB digital scope that really let's you see the details of the trichomes. However the higher magnification means you...

    soil mix help

Are you growing indoors or outside? And what size containers? Ideally you want to start in a seed starting mix then transfer into your hotter potting mix when your plants are mature and big enough to handle the heavier dose of nutrients.

    Mushrooms on soil!

Another thing that just came to mind. Make sure your soil isn't to moist. If mushrooms are growing easily then it's likely that other types of fungi can grow just as easily.

    Mushrooms on soil!

it means your soil is very fertile. Mushroom spores can travel for miles within a light breeze. Never heard of them harming MJ plants. They break down organic matter in the soil. What you see is their "fruit" and their colony is like a web in the soil. Till what you see back into the soil and...

    oxygenated water for soil grow.

I haven't added perlite to my soil in years. I like the stuff but it's completely optional in my book. Good potting soil is breathable as-is. However I still shake water every time to aerate. When I first started growing cannabis I tried all sorts of experimenting. Now I do the absolute minimum...

Growing setup help. Hydro or soil?

Most autos grow to be about 1.5'-2' tall. So Even though this is your first grow I would try to grow at least 3-4 plants. As long as you start in a seed starting mix and wait three weeks before feeding you should be fine. I rarely see people kill from over watering anymore. Just in case remember...

How do I make most money out of harvesttt!!! Dank GDP

I average 2-3 lbs per plant growing organically outside in raised beds. I normally grow four to six plants and spend around ten dollars on fertilizer and about thirty dollars on soil and insect control supplies. How much are you spending?

    California growers

I've never added supplemental lighting. Just make sure your garden gets at least six hours of direct sunlight, preferably morning sun, which you can get by growing on the south side of your property. If possible build a simple raised bed. Generally bigger is better but for your first run try...

starting seedlings in red cups over 5gallon

I've grown in paper towel rolls, cups, old fast food containers, and seed starting flats just to name a few. My favorite is one gallon fabric Smart Pots®. I haven't really noticed a difference except I water less often with a larger container and I don't have to transplant as soon. However I...

    Fox Farms vs Cheaper soil

Roots Organic @ $30 a bag did the best but only slightly edged out Kellogg Patio Plus which cost $4 a bag. However the results were largely inconclusive since sometimes Ocean Forest did the best and other times it did the worst. My opinion is that genetics, correct watering frequency, nutrition...

    Fox Farms vs Cheaper soil

When I did my test I compared Roots Organic, Fox Farm Ocean Forest, Kellogg Patio Plus, Scotts Super Soil, and Hyponex. I used clones and repeated the test three times before forming my opinion. My advice is to keep testing. The more variables you can eliminate and the more times you run the...

I need help by people who want to help

I think your mistake was using the MG soil at the wrong time. It's fine to grow on a budget and to use MG products, but next time buy MG Seed Starting Mix and grow with that for a month then transfer to the hotter potting mix with fertilizers. For now hold off feeding and only water (tap is...

Is it true that every strain is different

I think it's different for everyone. I've traveled to some of the hottest dispensaries in California looking for the best strains. Indica strains act like a downer causing me to feel slow, tired, and heavy while Sativa strains make my heart rate go up, gives me the giggles, improves my mood and...

    Going solo this season?

A few of my friends grow and we'll visit each others garden to learn and swap strains. Thing is I'm in SoCal growing within the limits of state law. I don't need to gorilla grow or do shady shit. Now a few years ago I used to hear about a lot of home invasions and that's good enough reason to...
