Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

They fall short of true hp aero roots, but nice fishboning, which is better than spaghetti. Haha, look... I'm a root-snob... :)

    True HP Aero For 2011

Was true... Sometimes I wonder if G-love's plant's were partially NFT- with the taps and taking off once they hit the floor (more water)... tree farmer's roots look more like pure aero roots to me, but G-love aint nuttin to scoff at! Nice of you to share, I've shared mine a few times myself...

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

Feed the same as your DWC... You might not have aero roots and therefore won't need to change your regimen as it will be similar from the plant's perspective. You'll be tossing out alot of water and spending alot of extra time and trouble on a system that won't likely produce much better than...

Constructing a Homebrew Atomix Air-Atomized Aeroponic System

Luckilly, I have access to a real particle analyser. I doubt that method would work due to the quick evaporation of the droplets- they have alot of surface area (relative to their mass). Best bet is to use the datasheet specs from a reputable nozzle company who list the sauter mean diameter of...

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

When you drench, you are covering the roots in liquid, which somwhat starves them for oxygen and is about the same as hydroponics. HP aero is an all or nothing thing, and it seems you are not interested in doing it. The reason people have trouble is because they try to shortcut or simplify, so...

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

That's a huge rez, my 8 site chamber only used 5-10 gallons per week.

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

I love you Hammer, but I fully disagree. The plants do not starve, they flourish and become very efficient eaters. But you have to do it right in the first place, with an accumulator, and the correct mist nozzles...

Taking the plunge: HP Aero Drain to Waste

These HP pumps are not made for continous duty and would burn out, not to mention the noise, electrical waste and heat they would make. You cannot run without an accumulator and get any better results than normal hydro, sorry... Also, you will have pressure drops feeding more than a couple...

    True HP Aero For 2011

I don't think you need a "taproot" - the hp rootstructure is different and water roots don't develop the same way... The roots will struggle to adapt to aero after being in DWC. Your mist may be too fine? Are you following the recommendations of using the cubed rockwool and top watering...

    True HP Aero For 2011

(If it's the same dude) I enquired almost 6 months ago- he is only selling a single nozzle and a timer for that price, not even the chamber, it's way too much... And now I wonder if it might be a scam since he is still listing it, I was scammed on some HP nozzles by a guy named Terry...

    True HP Aero For 2011

HP aero has very little waste when properly dialed in, I only lose a few ounces per day in runoff in my 8 plant chamber... Hydro is very wasteful when you have to drain and refill your rez... Not to mention how great it is to not have to constantly monitor your PH and PPM, and keep the nasties...

    True HP Aero For 2011

That may be wayy too much, however each setup is different and your variables are too, meaning there is no set spray times that can be used in every system for the same results, what matters are some of the target formulas Atomizer has mentioned, and using your ability to read the plants.

Well said! I also read all the threads prior to starting my own - understanding the underlying principles is paramount, otherwise you'll just be spinning your wheels asking questions that are already in print here...

Welcome Anonymouse7! Glad you did your reading and research! G-love is long gone, however his journals are still findeable on UK420, search for his name and find his journal entries... Look forward to hearing your progress and sorry I have been so busy in my personal life, however I am ready...

Hey!.. Highly recommend reading Homebrewer's threads here on Dynagro VS... You can follow his methods using the promix and dynagro nutes, don't buy a bunch or stuff, it's a waste of money- but do a search for Homebrewer and his threads, very good information... :)

AeroJunkie's High Pressure Air-Assisted Hydro-Atomized Aeroponic System (HPAAHAAS)

I think you are already getting pretty good results with your system and you would have to spend a lot of money and invest much time in understanding the differences in this type of growing. Just keep tweaking it, man I never saw such phoenetics in my life brotha... ;) Did you ever get...

Constructing a Homebrew Atomix Air-Atomized Aeroponic System

I have considered this, and may, although as mentioned I want to try siphon fed for the reasons just mentioned in my previous post. I definitely can convert to pressure fed easily as I already have the whole setup, however, these nozzles are specifically designed for siphon feed and I am not...
