I broke out the 30x lighted loupe. Then broke out the 100x digital microscope attached to my laptop. There are no signs of any creepy crawlies, tops or bottoms of leaves, stems or growth tips. I haven't checked runoff pH, I'll check soon and get back to you.

Your best bet is to pollinate different branches with different males and label them so you don't forget which is which. Then grow out seeds from each and see which one gave you the best tasting progeny.
