I quit calling my plants "seedlings" after they've formed their first set of true leaves, which are serrated, unlike the rounded cotyledons below them. They are then "vegging" if ya have your lights set to a vegging light period. I'll assume you aren't going 12/12 from seed....

^Look into LST'ing them a bit, meaning.....take some string or something, and 'open up' the foliage some, by pulling crowded branches outwards, then securing them to the side of their pots(for example).

Okay, time for my 3 day update..... .....Still under the T8's, running less than an inch, some 1/2" or closer, and growing pretty well. No ferts yet, but I might include a little Calmag Plus, when I water tonight. I plan on moving them under the 1000 HPS, after watering. I'm curious to see...

To the member who stated that plants don't show sex during veg.......WRONG!! Sorry bro, that's bad info. They normally show preflowers at 4-6 weeks of healthy growth, even if the lights are kept on 24/0 the whole time.

What size lights are ya using? You probably don't want to end up with big plants anyways, unless ya have a big system. I've used 3 gallon pots, flowered the plants at around 14", and ended up with plants less than 30" tall. Those pots were plenty big enough, not even close to being rootbound.

It might be too late for them, if you buried them too deep, or the soil was too wet. Hard to say, but I like to germinate my seeds first, before putting them in soil. Yeah, alot of guys go straight to soil, but I feel safer this way, KNOWING they've split, first.

However many you decide to pack into a square 5' x 5',(the approximate max coverage area of a 1000) or smaller. It could anything from one really wide plant, to a shitload of them grown SOG (Sea Of Green) style. I'm gonna have 8 under mine, vegged to about 12-14", very soon....

Aside from having two plants in one pot...they look pretty good. The auto looks a little light in color, and if it's not an illusion,...it could likely use a bit more nitrogen. Otherwise, doesn't look too bad. :)

How 'bout a close-up of the buds? Are they nice and frosty?haha (sorry, couldn't resist) :wink:

^Keep the fans running at night, too. I've seen many set on the same timer as their lights, turing off when they do, which can cause problems. I like to keep my humidity around 35-45%,(usually on the lower end) during flowering, and haven't had any mold/rot issues, yet... *knocks on wood*...

What sort of "trimming" are you thinking about? If you're thinking about trimming leaves to let light penetrate....throw that idea out the window, it does more harm, than good. If you're talking about topping them, LST, supercropping, etc.....those are good training methods, although I prefer...

3 days later..... ....And they're really starting to take off, still under the T8's(at less than an inch away) after a good watering, a couple days ago. They're ready for the 1000 HPS, I think, and if I have time tonight, I'll move them over to the flowering room, still on 19/5, for a few...

If you're buds are small, I'd be focusing on lights, not nutes, unless you are showing deficiencies. What lights are ya using?

Humidity? Well, if ya let it dry out completely, the humidity is totally gone, really fast. I'm not sure you're asking the right question? *scratches head*

^They've depleted alot of nutes from the soil, which is why I transplant, at the same time as you....so I don't have to start feeding them all the time. From that point, I go to my final sized pot(they're called "5 gallon", but they're not that big, i'd say closer to 4), and don't really feed...
