    uninterruptible power supply (battery backup)

what all do you have hooked up to it? how many kwh does your setup store? what's your total draw? and how long can your setup keep things going? just wondering so i can calculate how much battery i'm going to need if i went with this kind of setup...

    Mycorrhizae and clay pellets?

http://urbangardenmagazine.com/2010/01/super-feeding-do-mycorrhizae-have-a-role-in-hydroponics/ "recent studies have shown that mycorrhizae can help plants uptake mineral-based nutrients too, promote with root branching, and massively extend the active feeding capacity of the feeder root tips"

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

Lol. Clearly you don't know anything about ap and growing weed. The point of feeding the fish is to feed the nitro bacteria. The bacteria displace root pathogens. If you see no value in ending root disease and eliminating the need for Res changes, then i dont know what to say! More power to you...

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

well, since you called me out, i'm going to have to throw down. here are pictures from the same grow, my current grow, from a few minutes ago, day 98, week 14, silver haze. that picture you posted, by the way, was from just after i pruned, a little over a month ago. so, you were saying...

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

Looks like final drive is 1-5-4 with b1, b6, b12, and vit c (citric acid), which is also obviously used in the citric acid cycle

    flowering with aquaponics, revisited

first off, duckweed, glad to see another ap enthusiast on riu! yes, those are the basics and i tried it that way for about 4 or 5 crops and it grows shitty weed. the few other indoor ap cannabis grows i've seen online aren't anything to write home about either. i have yet to see an indoor...

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

the research in that article suggests that b1 doesn't do anything to stimulate ROOT growth, but that's not what this product is supposed to do. it was pitched to me as a "bud hardener" that will promote more intense flowering and denser buds. there were no claims that it was supposed to boost...

    best way to store harvest

I've seen wineries use pure nitrogen gas (out of a spray can) to purge the oxygen out of opened bottles of wine before recorking. I'd imagine it would also work well for long term storage of buds. any oxygen in your jars will oxidize and degrade the cannabinoids. Nitrogen is heavier, so it...

Day 57-63 flower, what do you guys think?

Agree, more light. With 400w, i think you should be a lot closer, like 6" from the bulb, not the reflector. Also, if you have any additional lighting, some side lighting, even if it's a blue spectrum, will help fill out those buds. Trich heads look small, which is probably why you're having...

    Mycorrhizae and clay pellets?

That's why i now run aquaponics. Feed the fish, fish feed the nitro bacteria, nitro bacteria displaces pathogens and feeds the plants. Haven't done a res change in almost 14weeks. No peroxide, no added bennies, no fuss. I have decaying bits of leaves in the system, sometimes right on the roots...

Who's Got The Fostiest Buds? Let's See How Frosty A Bud Can Really Get?

    silver haze, week 13, aquaponic + nutes, constant flood/drain, 2X 600w HPS + 8X T5.

what changes have YOU made and seen the biggest improvement in quality?

going aquaponic, throwing more light at them, letting them go for as long as possible (in wk13, probably going until wk15)

    Mycorrhizae and clay pellets?

    1. i think it's overpriced 2. ectomycos don't form symbiotic relationships with cannabis roots, as far as i know 3. bacteria would be useful in soil but not hydro, as they are not aquatic species 4. the glomus endomycos can be found for MUCH cheaper from websites or garden supply stores...

    flowering with aquaponics, revisited

well, yes and no. you can add nutes but it does adversely affect most fish. i probably went through about 200-300 goldfish, feeder fish, and local species pulled from a stream. only about 20 or so survived, but are very, very well adapted. i just wish i had a female in there to breed.

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

that wasn't really what i was alluding too. i guess by "push" i meant after i asked for a bloom booster for the last two weeks, he recommended this one for hydro in hydroton. final drive did deliver results. i'm just wondering if it's the same as super thrive, which isn't exactly cheap either...

    flowering with aquaponics, revisited

That's my hunch. This has happened almost every ap grow before. My guess is that because nitrogen stays high the whole time, it just keeps going. Cant complain though. They're bulking up like crazy. Orange pistils finally reaching the top but after another feed (cns17 bloom, liquid karma, final...

    T5

I'm using 8x t5 for side lighting in my current grow. Compared to the 2x 600w hps above, the t5 buds are smaller, less trichs but still respectable. The t5s are less than 6" away. If you can't spring for hps right now, t5 get the job done but for optimal yield and trichs, plan on getting an hps...

    b-vitamin booster = super thrive?

the guy at the hydro shop pushed a bottle of final drive on me as a bud hardener. after adding it to my res, my plants took off again sprouting more roots and more pistils. the ingredients on the label, its appearance, and its smell seem awfully similar to super thrive. is final drive (or any...
