day 29: back from holiday now and to a big surprise, they're huge! i think there's been a little stretching for the light but better than burning eh? even the damaged one has made a comeback. looks like flowering ain't far off either, what do you guys reckon? hehe check out my garden...

i've upped it to 2', and the babies are actually on a little platform anyways so that can be taken out by the missus over my weekend away. sweet! i hope to see some growth when i return!

day 24: well......it's day 24 for the eldest buddha but these two are a week younger max. older buddha is doing well, coming back from injury slowly. these other two are loving the MH! they've grown loads over the last two days. anyone reckon they are stretching for the light? i have lowered...

hahaha cheers for the heads up buddy. i've used kitbagshop on ebay for my nutes and all good so far. apart from the fact that they charged me postage for each individual item! i kicked up a fuss though and they refunded. i hate crappy sellers!

Sounds good! A bit late now though. I got my light for £30 so no complaints there. Will do a search when I get home and find out more about my ballast/fitting. Will check out that shop too!

hey budmeup, do you control your pH? it's pretty important to do that from the start as it affects the levels of nutes that can be absorbed. not that i'm saying this is the problem.......droop is usually a sign of over or under watering. i know nothing about coco so maybe wait for another post...

you bought one HPS bulb and one MH bulb for the same fitting? did that work okay?

cool cool. i've read that some ballasts run HPS and MH and you don't need a conversion bulb. i guess i would have to figure out what my ballast is first, it's built into the bulb holder i.e. all one unit. very heavy to hang from the ceiling! do you need to buy a special bulb or just whack a HPS...

thanks silva, i'll be watching the little girls like a hawk. i have it at about 2 feet from the plant, as advised by both you and the guy i bought the light off. do you know much about HPS conversion bulbs for MH kits?

cheers guys, i have a normal fan running at the moment, just might get a slightly bigger one. the plants seem to be coming on really well under the new light. only thing is i'm not really sure exactly how close to get the light> any ideas?

day 22: well the big one hasn't done much for the last week but the other two are coming on strong. breaking news - i have a 400W MH lamp now! i was looking at ebay listings at work on my phone and my mate said 'oh yeah, i've got one of those i'm getting rid of'. what are the chances?! fucking...

MH is best for vegging, HPS for bloom. but you can HPS all the way with good results.
