Yeah, I think it's important to keep the temp low when you are beginning. I germed mine just above the fridge at around 72-74F. Also I made sure the paper towel was moist but not dripping.
But first, now that I think about it, was put the seeds in a matchbox with some sandpaper and shake them up to scuff the surface, then soaked them in water for 24 hours, then did the paper towel thing. The matchbox method seems a little on the superstitious side but hey maybe it helped.
