Getting back into growing

Current 3 in flower, 1 stunted from I'm assuming copper issues, added 2-3 inches of soil to all 3 pots last night after I took pictures and let sun go down

Been busy but in the process of coding python to make a few low power mode time lapse cameras I can leave with plants their entire grow cycle.

ok so hoping by the end of the day i have a few cameras running time lapse and the photos they take are gunna instantly be pushed to a raspberry pi 4 that will be used as a dumping ground. Im also making a tablet out of a raspberry pi 5 to be able to control all cameras remotely/ check status since they have no displays. in the future i will add lux sensors to the cameras so I can code in ISO settings, but need baby steps as im teaching myself python. ( the code to run all this automatically) End goal is to have a camera near each plant and timelapse from the time it goes from seed to cure, this will help me see things i miss and or things i need to work on. I grow inside and outside, long long down the road some of the pi's will have UV/light sensors, so when i stop getting lazy i will finish my outdoor light array and supplement light on days needed, via solar and battery backup.

I'm trying to keep the cost as low as possible, each camera costs about 45$ and that includes the pi, camera and a heatsink, the case i 3d print.

update got the raspberry pi's to talk to each other problem is my main pi is stealing all the files, but its progress, and i have achieved a wifi pull script that works too good atm

as of now 11:22pm i have 2 cameras up and running that will start testing loop tomorrow in the am, both cameras will capture pictures ever 20 sec's (still debating on how often i want to do this) my main unit will wirelessly pull the raw images to itself and remove the images from the host camera. I am now working on the timelapse script to turn the photos into either a GIF or a video.

Tweaking camera added a lens flare which helped a bunch

So while dicking around with this camera i allowed a aphid infestation in my watermelon plants, but this is why i grow companion plants, had to deal with that bit because i don't like killing plants, so that took a few hours to treat with soap hands a bucket and time, checked over entire garden and it seems like i wiped them out, however have lady bugs on the way to deal with anything i missed

Also camera update: so far a single camera had taken about 3k photos with no issues, working in tinkercad to design all my 3d prints, i like it plus its free, once i know the stl files and python code have no issues i will post all here

and last night is why i remember i hate doing software updates, the update made some commands change, but i should have updated the things i was using before i wrote them, live and learn, easy fixes tho

finally happy with most of the code, i need to tweak the auto focus, but for a 15 dollar sensor im not upset with the picture its giving me, these are direct from the camera edit, there is a lizard that likes my weed plants the camera picks him up
