So if ya didn't know THC-A be the shit that be sold in your average gas station bodega "smoke shop" in a state where THC products are still not legal for recreational useage, partner. I dun tried me some of this shit a couple times, it's usually sold in weird little plastic baggies that have artful designs. Couldn't quite get the shake of it. It *almost" feels like getting high but it ain't. To my mind that there settles the debate, gashdern it all. Why waste yer gashdern money on some shit that probably has chemicals u can't even pronounce and it ain't even real weed dadgummit.

THCA drops a carboxyl acid when heated (decarboxylation) and converts the THCA (non-psychoactive) to THC (psychoactive) at a rate of 87.7%. In other words, THCA is the precursor to THC before heat is applied. For example, 25% THCA converts to 21.9% THC once heated. This is why on a MMJ dispensary label, one might see:

THCA: 17.8%
THC: 4.3%
Total THC: 19.9%

That said, who knows what kind of shit they're selling at bodegas, so it's probably best to not buy it.

Thats such a age old question I had when buying from the store. Noone knew why they just had tried explaining but not make sense. I dont remember what they said but it just wasnt what you just said. That makes lots of sense!

They sell THC-A weed here and most of the actual flower is just mids weed that was harvested a week early so as not to contain hardly any Delta 9. Some of it aint terrible but i like my homegrown better. The stuff theyre selling is basically commercial stuff that A:Doesnt have to be tested . And B: was bought cheap. Now the Carts,,,, those things .. there's no telling what all is in them. The labels advertise delta 8,10,11. Also Thc-P, Thc-H and other crap. Harsh as hell and a very strange buzz. Store guy let me try a couple tokes from one and it made me dizzy and nauseous. NOT what you desire from weed. I suggest leaving that stuff alone and grow your own. They even have a few "Hemp" grow shops. My local guy has freaking tents full of clones. He sells seeds from several breeders and even Mushroom spore syringes. Its so easy to grow decent weed that you know whats in it/on it.

All cannabis starts with THCA, no plant produces THC by itself. It has to be burned or heated (decarboxylation) in order for THC to be predominant. That being said, supposedly Hemp which produces the similar compound, but supposedly the Hemp plant does not have the ability to create the Delta 9 cannabinoid which is the true psyco activator of THC, from actual cannabis. So this is how shops where Hemp is legal are getting away with selling actual cannabis. They also have to harvest before peak trichomes are done to keep the level below .3%, so the flower will never be as potent as what you can grow yourself.
Hemp is different than Cannabis, though cultivars of the same family. Hemp is much larger than cannabis plants and again is more of a commercial crop for industrial applications vs Cannabis and human consumption.

Dont smoke that hemp flower at the smoke shop lol. I smoked like a qp of it then years later realized they aint regulated at all. They can use whatever pesticides etc they want. I liked it tho it was relaxing when I needed a break from thc.
