Time to kick off the 2025 season, Massholes! Started seeds on April Fool’s. Got South Waziristan, Pakistan Repros, a couple of Karakoram, Pakistan varieties, and Sholgar, Aghanistan going so far. Found a bonus Tashqurghan, Afghanistan seedling already growing in the garden; came through the 28 degree temps the other night just fine -

Getting garden in shape to transplant from keg cups. In the meantime the Winter Windowsill Plant Abuse Project is heading into the home stretch. These are a cross I made between a Sholgar, Afghanistan male and a South Waziristan, Pakistan female. I call it Shwaziri. Super gassy and fruity, might even keep some as flower -IMG_2883.jpeg

This is my 5th year but it's been the hardest so far for me. I start my ladies inside and move them out when they move into vegetative. For some reason this year they were very slow in moving to Veg - I started around 4/20 and only moved them outside June 15, and they were very small. They've stretched out since then but they are way too small for getting much yield. In the past I've used seedsman, and this year I used RQS. No problem having the seeds pop, but then really slow growing. Any thoughts on what could be the problem???
This is what the Moby looked like when I put it in the ground.

Who sells good soil? Ideally, organic super soil or living soil. Deals on bagged soil is OK. Bulk from local vendor is OK, too.

Want to fill ten 40- or 50-gallon fabric pots in Bristol county MA.

I think 10 cu ft = a 50-gallon pot?

Crappy cloudy spring meant slow initial growth for the plants I started April 1. It also delayed my putting them in the ground; my usual target date is May 15 to transplant but most of them went in around the end of May. But they’ve taken off with the hot weather the past few weeks so I expect decent yields. How do your plants look now?
