2018-12-11 09.09.34.jpg Cheers,,,,2018-12-11 09.11.56.jpg Hell yeah,
Finally got my first smoke from dwc.
I am very happy with the results. Can't really ever see going back to soil again. One plant, almost 13 ounces. Plus over a half ounce of bubble hash. I wish I could share a bowl of it with everyone.
,,,,,,,,,,,,, since I can't, I'll smoke it for you.

Looks good

Let's see the plant though
Didn't get pics at harvest, but this is 3 weeks before chop. Took up most of one side of 4x8 tent. Had a lot of problems trying to figure out dwc. But I made it. Hopefully, next go will be better, I have 2 630w cmh lights, Phillips 3100 bulbs and GH trio nute's. Plan on trying blue planet nute's next time. Also, last 2 weeks I used a blurple led for the extra UV and red spectrum.

Looks good dude; especially if this was your first dwc. Most first time dwc'ers nuke their plants.

Cant go wrong with cmh. They always lay down the frost:leaf:

Thanks, I read anything I could find on dwc, and low nute's was highly recommended. I started with 1/4 recommended, ppm never went over 650. Even that was a little hot. Generally good around 500-550. Took more notes than I did in school, lol.

That was exactly my findings. Never hit over 600ppm. Although with stronger lights, they're able to metabolize higher strength nutrients. I however used 400 watt lights and 600ppm was my sweet spot, with little fluctuation. Stable ppm is followed with stable ph. Half tap half RO

With cmh lighting, you may find you have magnesium def from a higher photosynthetic activity due to a more chlorophyll targeted spectrum. Even calcium uptake issues can be fixed by adding a pinch of Epsom. Making calcium more available.

Do you plan on cooling your tent? Major rot issues with high heat, as I'm sure you've read. I found that keeping the root crown supplied with constant flow of nutrients (drip-ring) kept problems at bay.

You may have noticed an off smell when cutting the roots from the net. Completely anecdotal but my issues disappeared with the addition of a drip ring in a sterile/ microbial reservoir.

Looks good for first time. That was 13oz total under the two 630cmh? If so gotta get those numbers up dude.

I run the same feed levels. Some run high and I cannot see how. My plants burn at 650ppm

No, I have a 4x8 tent, 630w over each side. This plant took up half of the tent. I didn't want to jump in guns a blazing, I spent more time taking notes than I did with my wife. Lol. This go around, 4 plants under scrog. Hopefully 2 1/2 - 3 lbs. High expectations, but not unrealistic?

I hear other people saying that their ppm is 13 or 1400, I don't see how, 600 is hot for mine.

I definitely had a mag deficiency early on, I am using tap water @ 89ppm, still have to add cal mag. Didn't get a bad smell though, res temperature stayed around 62, add ' voodoo juice, once in veg, then again in flower. Roots didn't come out white like a lot of people's I've seen, more of a beige color. But hell, I'm just glad I made it to the end. The first time was great, but it can be a hell of a lot better, so here I go again.

Use any bennies in the res?
My plants are light eaters with DWC. Nothing over EC 1.2

Not with the right strain. I pulled 540g off a 315w over a 2x4 last grow. One pheno was 13oz and the other was 6oz. So if I had both same pheno that would be 26oz under a 315w. There was some residual light coming from the side where I have a 520w quantum board. This strain was a heavy yielder though.

I used blue 5 gal Lowe's buckets for a while. Lots of pH and feed swings. I'd recommend a 12 gal at least tough tote from home depot and a netpot lid. Cut a hole in the lid with a jigsaw and good to go. $10

Not unrealistic, I hit those numbers most grows with 2 plants (depends on strains running) with a 4x8 scrog under 1000 hps and 2, 4 bulb 4' T5 HO's 1432 total watts
