Is it worth the effort?

others that have made a early hermie survive through harvest
Grow it. Castration can be effective. Gender reassignment surgery.
Im not ashamed. Ive done it. Relative inexperience has, in the past, stressed a new strain to the point of transgender mutation. And yeah I took "her" all the way. So what? Id do it again too.

Its a single plant outdoors, would you really dump it..... Not all that worried about pollinating my neighbors plants
Many of the guys here have many years experience growing weed

for me its 42 years ..lol

you chucking it out is what expected

what we do here is advise(train) younger growers

chucking it out

it the first step in your training

your next step is finding out why it hermed

besides later you can always tell your presenter later

its now 12 feet tall..try this! lol

Not really sure what you're talking about. Are you saying quality will be diminished? I was in no way questioning anyones level of experience, just looking for some explanation of why the plant should be totally discarded.
As for why it hermied, I havent a clue. Plant has been in my possession for 10 days. I put it in a larger pot and put it outside. What happened to it before that was likely a tough childhood in a solo cup under some cfl's. I was told it was 4 weeks from seed and an auto. Thats all i got
