Seems like I've always got something going on that seems so simple, but I'm making it harder. Last year, I over-fertilized due to having yellowed leaves that looked like the ones that show low Nitrogen, so I kept giving more fertilizer, therefore causing more yellow leaves. So, this year, I'm trying to be really careful to NOT overdo, but also don't want to under-fertilize, either. I know with weed, less is more.
We transplanted our 8" plants into large containers last Saturday and watered the heck out of them since the soil had never been watered before...... then, of course (not in the forecast), it rained 1" Sunday & Monday. Now, they're really soaked, and will be for probably a week now. The sun is out and the temps will be around 90 and then 90+. The last time I fertilized was last Wed, so a week ago tomorrow. I've been giving 1Tsp Foxfarm Big Grow once a week, and am about to up it to 2 tsp. I know I can wait, but don't want to wait TOO long.
Any advice as to if I should fertilize it while it's still a little wet, say in several days? Or, should I wait until it's almost dry and not worry so much about waiting?
thanks, as always!
