Hello everyone
I thought i would add this for anyone living in the UK and thinking of growing there own MJ with one of these lights.
I have just finished on the phone with my power company who are Scottish POwer. I have told them that i am running a Marine aquarium that with pump heater and lighting is using around 8kwh extra per day compared to my normal usage.
I pay by direct debit each month and using one of these Lights is approx 7.2kwh per day for a 12 on 12 off cycle. ( have just entered flowing) allowing me .8kwh for the fans which is approximately right for my setup it has increased my Direct debit a month by £12 (Gbp)
I hope that this helps people understand that when you compare the cost of electricity against the cost that you are spending each month on MJ (buying it from black market) it seriously is worth considering doing it yourself.
Sorry for starting a new thread as a newbie but i just had to put this in for those who wanted to know.
This is my first grow which i am not documenting here as i wanted to make my own mistakes before creating a journal. My next effort will be with some POT OF GOLD, APOLLO 11 and a pure sativa.
I will create a grow journal when i get my first one out of the way. So that i can keep you all posted with progress and any problems which arise.
So far i have been able to remedy any problems my plants have had thanks to this forum.
I cant beleive i didnt try growing before now.
