Great thread SS420. I'm starting my first grow in a 3x3x8 closet all decked out. I got 4 babies in there now just poking their heads up and about an inch tall. Once they get big enough I'm gonna try my first super crop too. I wanna take advantage of the little space I have. I got this one bookmarked and heading over to the FIM thread now.

Thanks for sharing dude. + rep

What up SS420 I hope you don't mind me putting this video in your thread. It's a nice video on super cropping. It demonstrates the technique you use to a tee.

Enjoy.

the more you do the more will shoot up and the thicker the branches will get.... good luck with things!!

if you can take some pics and post i'd like to see...
I didnt want her to get too big so I had to switch to Flower about 4 days after I super cropped the main stem near the top. These pics are about 3 days in flower. Not to much to show right now but you can definitely tell the lower limbs are catching up to the top. She is about 13 inches tall now.

I've seen similar growth happen when pulling a stem down through a scrog screen alittle too rough. Could this method be used early in scrog grow with the same results? It would be impossible once the screen was full, but if it can be done in early veg, I would give it a go.

you had aphids.. they are literally plant ticks...

feed your plants with 100% pure cold pressed neem oil every watering.. 2 tbls per gallon of water.. get some tanglefoot and smear around the lips of the pots and around the base of the plants... and collect spiders and throw in your garden...

Couple more super cropped WW pics at 3 weeks flower :hump: Thanks SS super cropping worked wonderfully kiss-ass

looking damn nice.. good job!!

its really not bad.. i wouldnt do it if it hurt my plants.. as long as you dont break off the tops it causes very little stress at all.. try it out on 1 plant and see for yourself!!

very nice i gatta try that!!!
good luck! its easy and very effective

Didnt you see the giant I have living in my house. It didnt even phase the plant, if anything I pissed it off and started growing like crazy. Works wonderfully I will probly do it to every plant after this one.

Thank you SS, I have learned SSOOOOOO much from this thread! It should indeed be a sticky as it is clear and well written.

I'm new to growing indoors so if I can ask a dumb question, I would appreciate it.

You mentioned that this technique kept the plants low and bushy. I am ceiling height challenged in my stealth closet, just how high would you say the minimum is for ceiling height with a 300W UFO LED and two 4 foot 4 bulb T5's when using this method? The size of the space is 4 by 5.

How many 5 gal bucket, bubbleponic grown plants do you think this setup will support in that space using SC method? Thanks, S

alright.. the main problem i see is the LED.. they dont penetrate very far into your canopy at all.. nor do they offer a large foot print... the addition of the extra lighting will help.. but dont expect a large plant... i would guesstimate you would want about an 18" tall final plant height... and maybe 4 plants... to really maximize your space you really should get a 600w hid or check into sunleaves satellite IV's... they are beyond amazing floros... ill be happy to tell you more.. but trust me when i say they preform better than a 400w hid... anyways thats the best info i can share with you.. feel free to ask about anything else you have questions bout..

Again, good info and timely as I haven’t yet bought the T5 Flo’s.

Can you provide some more info on the sunleaves satellite IV's and maybe a good lead on best pricing? What makes them perform so much better? Are they cool to the touch or do they need venting? How about the power consumption?

I already have the vegging 300watt LED (630 nm Reds) so I might as well use it.

The way I look at it is its better to ask a lot of questions and buy this stuff once.

I really appreciate this site and all the knowledge you experienced growers are willing to share with us noobs.

Thanks again for this thread, it has really explained this technique so well.

Kindly, S
