Hey, welcome. i always grew in soil. just getting into DWC and so far working great. i'm growing sativa's for medical reasons. they say it helps pain and swelling. its all good though. I'm useing Flourecents and CFL's. keeps heat down and electric bill also.....good luck, will follow your grow if you post it.......
