    Medi legalization in AZ

I have a similar discussion going on in the legalization forum. I actually think that provision is going to eventually be ruled unconstitutional on the basis of equal rights and protections. Not everybody will be able to afford dispensary prices. Growing literally costs just pennies on the...

    Arizona Legalization Question?

I agree with you Veggie. As long as you have your recommendation you can't give a certain group of patients a special privilege just because they live further from a dispensary. I am pretty sure that provision will be deemed unconstitutional or amended because of equal rights. Also keep in...

    Arizona Legalization Question?

That is definitely the most disturbing part of this initiative. Not everybody is going to be able to afford dispensary prices. Growing your own literally costs pennies on the dollar. I think only giving cultivation protection to any patient outside 25 miles is just ridiculous. So...if I live...

    Arizona Legalization Question?

Well...strict on policy of personal cultivation and dispensary operations but as far as approved medical conditions "chronic pain" kinda opens the door for almost anyone to optain a recommendation. I think they wrote a pretty good initiative. I like the DUI and discrimination protections that so...

So...as many of you already know Arizona Proposition 203 has passed! Official state certification will be on November 29th, 2010. The Arizona Department of Health has been tasked with overseeing the entire program. The AZDH has 120 days to come up with a standard operating procedure as well...

    Medi legalization in AZ

What is stopping anyone from moving to a residence 25mi from a dispensary so they could cultivate? Technically speaking....nothing...but you have to remember while the total number of dispensaries is currently capped at 124...you have to take into consideration that for every 10 pharmacies that...

Prop 203 passed arizona is now in the club!!!!

I am definitely surprised that prop 203 was as close as it was. I thought that it was going to win easily going off of the history of the state with this issue. When it was down on election night and throughout last week I was very discouraged. I was very surprised how it fought back and...

    Medi legalization in AZ

Hey friend...the law takes effect on November 29th. AZ Department of Health has 120 days to implement the program. Dispensary and Med Card approvals won't happen until March and first medicine won't be distributed until summer of 2011. We might be permitted to grow once our cards are issued...

Prop 203 passed arizona is now in the club!!!!

I understand that concern but this will go on as planned. For one...after 1998 when that initiative was overturned we passed another initiative that makes it impossible for the Arizona Legislature to overturn future voter initiatives. Next...the Marijuana Policy Project after 14 years of States...

Prop 203 passed arizona is now in the club!!!!

Couple things to note..... Arizona Department of Health has 120 days from November 29th, 2010 to implement a standard operating procedure for prop 203. Dispensary and medical card applications probably won't be approved until around Spring. AZpatients.com is a website from someone who is...

    Wow...az prop 203 passes!!!

Although I agree with you that people will abuse the system. You have to crawl before you can walk. This is another state that is starting a trend. I would imagine we will have almost a dozen states coming out with MMJ initiatives in 2012. The Marijuana Policy Project is leading the effort...

AZ PROP203 just turned around to a YES!! We are ahead 4,000 votes!

Not going to happen. For one....AZ passed an initiative in 1998 that makes it so the State Legislature cannot overturn future voter initiatives. Next...the previous initiatives were repealed because of the language which had "prescribe" instead of "recommend". Lastly...the Obama Administration's...

AZ PROP203 just turned around to a YES!! We are ahead 4,000 votes!

It's in the bag! Easy math would say that 4421 votes with only 10,000 provisional ballots left...The No side would need at least 73% of the remaining vote to win. That is not going to happen since the provisional votes counted so far have been 61% in favor of 203. It will be official by Monday...
