I've read through some of your threads the last couple days. Take this from a guy who runs a watercooled cob system and has done all the research that you're currently going through. Forget about lm/W, $/W and all those other useless numbers. You need to figure out what works for your plants...

I just reworked my Vero C fixture today. The Cobs now run between 6W (dimmed) and 14W (200mA) each. No issues.

I got 60 Veros from kingbrite 1 1/2 years ago and haven't had any issues so far.

Should be good. I run a mix of 3500k 80 and 90 CRI Vero 29 C's and they do a great job in both veg and flower.

Should be nice. Make sure to keep the wires a bit longer than necessary in case you want to change things around down the road. This DIY stuff is addicting and if you're anything like me, you're likely gonna get ideas for upgrades within days of finishing the fixture.

I run 25 COBs driven very soft at 20W each in my 4x4. Works perfectly. As a matter of fact, forget about those heavy pin fin heatsinks.. a simple 60x30 or 80x40 profile will do. I run them dimmed at 400W right now.. without CO2, anything more than that is plain overkill at an average of over...

The current Bridgelux Veros are gen 7 as well and unless I completely misinterpret the datasheets, just as or more efficient than the Luminus equivalent. Also, his Vero is most likely a 36V variant so the 50V Luminus won't work anyway. I was just curious why you recommend the Luminus.. figured...

I fail to see how the Luminous COBs that you have linked are an improvement over his Bridgelux ones?

Yeah, don't let the reservoir run low. Mine is 60L for 5 plants roughly 1m above ground and I try to keep it at least half full at all times. Also use drip clean.

I'm running blumats in coco right now. Works like a charm.

Yes, that driver fits perfectly. Personally, I wouldn't drive them any harder than this either.
