I saw your post on Daithys thread, I didn't want to clutter it with more posts. Sounds to me like you are using is a regular white incandescent bulb, that is your first problem. Do as they stated, get a couple 23w cfls, warm white or daylight, doesn't matter. Keep them about 3" away at all times for the first couple of weeks. Incandescent bulbs are crap for growing, that's why you are getting the stretch and burns. And for your first grow just stick to regular Miracle Gro soil or Schultz, it's easy to use for first timers. Good luck hope this helps!
