I was referring to the idea that a sealed room = mold. Complete BS. And while it may be stupid, its still feasible. And avoids any smell issues that come with venting.

Im assuming in legal states, you are pretty much always liable to have someone drop in, unannounced to make sure you are within compliance. This is an entirely different issue.

Yeah, obviously if you have a smart meter, old logic no longer applies. But they also arent going to get a warrant for your house solely because of high energy usage...
