I'm trying to strike a balance between going obscenely overkill in my flowering tent and playing to the Chinese edge of ordering more boards for my "HLG savings" and driving them softer to increase my overall diode count relative to my shipping costs.
That puts me around 9 boards in a 4x4 tent...
Thanks for the reply, I'll go with this driver.
If you had to buy more of these 1" lights and drivers, what would you do for a more current build, with cost being the main concern? I'm planning to build a few more of these 1" x6 fixtures (has to be 1' as I have 3' long aluminum grill plates...
You're a gentleman and a scholar.
If you were gonna do a 2019 build, what would your goto cheap setup be if I wanted to build another 2 or 3 6x 1" LED fixtures with cheap LEDs and drivers?
Light output/PPFD isn't a priority as I'm going with microgreens - I'm primarily concerned with the cost...
I had some extra 1 footer Samsungs layring around and I'm going to throw 6x inFluxs on an old grill plate as my heatsink; but I'm stumped on what driver to pick to run all 6 of them, as these strips only pull 9.05v each and should be ran at around 1050ma.
Does anyone have some suggestions on...
Spark one for me champ :bigjoint:,looks like you've had a rough few weeks based on your post history I detect a salt buildup. I was looking at the shots from 3 weeks ago that's why I asked for an update.
Can anyone show how to wire these to a meanwell power supply? I'm understand series wiring for COBs but for some reason I can wrap my head around series wiring these little strips to a driver
Awesome. Can't wait until it's finished!
Maybe this repo will help you - his system looks good, unfortunately he opted for a very complicated syringe dosing system instead of peristaltic pumps, but maybe the code is of use to you.

Your projects are great man, you're bringing us into the next generation here!
You considering doing an automated dosing/PH adjustment setup? I'm looking everywhere but can't find a complete solution, everyone seems to have abandoned their project and left them sub-functional.
