John Innes No.1 - When to start using nutes?

I used John Innes seeding compost and even that stuff burnt my plants (when I started feeding a very weak solution of bio grow). That yellowing and curling IS nute burn, I had the very same symptons. DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING BUT TAP WATER FOR AT LEAST 5 WEEKS.

As I mentioned, I started fertilising about a week ago using around 1/4 strength bio bizz bio grow. I water when the soil is almost dried out totally with around 500ml of good quality tap water.
