Under 600w your best yields for most strains will be under SCROG. It takes a bit more work, but the returns are worth it. That said, the first couple times working with a strain, I like to SOG-- or even simply grow out a mid sized plant. It helps me to SCROG better if I know how the strain...

That plant is burnt from high nutrient content. I would not add more. I would flush the medium instead.
