So Im growing in a large room with a 1000w MH (vegging). My temps easily stay between 71-76 during the day and maybe 64 at night. My cool tube is disconnected, so cold air is being pushed over the light and warmed, then going into the room.
Ive read that you can get the lights as close as 18...
Im not very experienced but I used the full strength FF nutes (GB and BB) on my first grow and my plants locked up. Water was ph'd and at room temp and the plants got better after I flushed them so that's my only assumption. On my current grow I've followed the schedule but at 1/4 for the first...
So I'm growing two Nirvana Blackjack feminized, one Sugar Black Rose and one Kandy Kush. I can't remember the seedbank the last two are from but they seem healthy so far. Im growing in a 8"x12" room with a 1000w lumatek ballast and reflectix on the walls.
My soil is FF Happy Frog soil with a...
The problem with cooling the entire room for me is that right now my tent is set up in a shed that isn't insulated. It would take a lot of power to keep that room cool. Once I have about $600 Im gonna build an insulated room in my garage, and install my window unit through the wall. Then I won't...
Sorry about the pics I just got the tent and a/c set up. Right now I have the cool air vented in but no recirculation. The a/c is just pulling air in from the room. I have a passive air exhaust and the temps are staying in the low 70s. Ive only had it set up today though and it wasn't a very hot...
Do you guys think I will be ok running a window unit and my light through a 100 foot 10 gauge extension cord on a 20 amp breaker? my light is a 1000 watt dimmable ballast with a 600w hps bulb and my a/c is a 8000 btu haier window unit I need to check the efficiency rating
So Im almost ready to start my first indoor grow and I just wanted to bounce some ideas and see if I can avoid some future issues. I have a 4x4x80" secret jardin grow tent, a 1000w dimmable lumatek ballast with a 600w Ushio HPS bulb, a 171 cfm 4" fan and a 8000 btu window a/c unit. I plan on...
Im sure I will be checking on my room pretty regularly, but I don't wanna wake up late for work and let my plants fry because I didn't have time to turn on the a/c in the morning. I thought for a while there it would be another $1000 before I could get my tent set up. Hopefully I can find a...
Ok Im really getting some good info here. I really appreciate it. I thought about getting a portable a/c unit but it seems I could get a window unit for cheaper on craigslist (sometimes even $50), plus they're more reliable and cool a room faster. It stays around 80 in the tent even at night so...
Sorry I need to start revising my questions before posting. So you have your a/c hooked up, along with a wall fan for air circulation. Where do you allow for fresh air to be pulled in, from the top or bottom?
Lol oh mine will have plenty of ghetto when its all said and done. I guess you guys just leave another intake hole on top so only hot air is escaping the tent, or would you want a small amount of cool air to be released so the a/c is pulling in new air?
Thanks a lot. I didn't think about the a/c unit circulating the air for me. then I would just need an oscillating fan to keep air moving. How hard does the a/c have to work for you in the summer months?
