Congrats on completing your harvest. I think I'll start cutting some tops this week, good idea. Will keep an eye on the weather. Still might let one of the two go into next week weather permitting.

You think this Chinook Haze is ready? I'm starting to see a few amber trichs (I think). Seems close. I have 2 of these left, could cut one tomorrow or Tuesday and just for kicks let the other go another week or 2. Still haven't had a hard frost yet--39 last night. Any night now though. Weather...

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

Still drying--I just took the fan leaves off at harvest. Hoping to trim and start curing this weekend. Will send a picture. The stuff I grew here seems to have plenty of terpenes. Based on research I did I've been harvesting at daybreak which supposedly helps with that. Did you buy a place...

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

Beginner's luck I guess. Lots of people have told me that Greenpoint is very risky outdoors here (after I naively ordered the seeds not knowing any better). Probably true of most sativas. Was this year really so great? Seems like things fell apart suddenly the last week of September. I almost...

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

I grew the Tomahawk strain this year, indica-dominant cross between Stardawg and Gorilla Glue #4, supposedly tests as high as 30% THC. No rot whatsoever, finished on 10/12. Of the 5 strains I tried Tomahawk seemed like the fussiest in terms of care but it did just fine and produced some fine...

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

Is med quality here poor? Indoor grown on the cheap? What's the market like for primo-quality organically-grown outdoor? How about hemp flowers for CBD?

Thanks, can't complain about how the first year went, although I'm not quite at the finish line yet--got these two Chinook Hazes to see through. But it feels good to have everything else in and drying. Stay warm and thanks again for all your help.

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

Guy who opened up a rec. shop in a nearby town says supply this year is short in the rec. market here but thinks it'll catch up soon. Not what you're seeing?

Hello. Maine. indoor and outdoor. lets talk.

Well that sounds exciting. Pulling up stakes and heading to New England, eh? You in California? I'm just finishing my first year growing ever, so not exactly a fount of knowledge yet. But shaping up to be a pretty successful season--did all outdoor plants organically and they thrived. The last...

Yup, will keep checking daily and make a call this weekend.

That's what confuses me. People often say "go as long as you can." But if there's a window, doesn't the window close at some point? Can't it get over-ripe? Won't you end up with "couch-lock" or, if you wait even longer, reduced effect? Why is longer always better?

Thanks! Appreciate all your help and encouragement along the way. Seems like the white pistils are disappearing fast now. On some of the buds I don't see any white pistils any more, on others just a few. Will try to get another image this afternoon.

Good job all around--learned lots from you this summer, thanks. Congrats on a bountiful harvest. How did those Greenpoints turn out? Those the final ones you're cutting this week? I've still got 2 Chinook Hazes growing but everything else is hanging now. Can't wait to try out the medicine when...

Thanks, when all was said and done I didn't actually lose too much to bud rot. Probably 15% roughly on the Orange Blossom Special, but I erred on the side of caution and threw whole colas out if they had any rot signs. The Cherry Wine had some too in the very last week but it wasn't much. Almost...

Yes, it's been a busy few days. Took the Tomahawk down Sunday morning: Decided to go ahead and try the rinse routine, using 1 5g pail of warm water with 1/8C each of lemon juice and baking soda, and one bucket of just plain cold rinse water. They hung on the line above in the shade for the...
