That sucks, but as you say there's still time for plan B. I think I'm dealing with the same thing here with a bunch of my hemp seeds. The seedbank I'd been using appears to have gone out of business so I went with a different supplier. I think 14 germinated out of 50 and they look really weak...

A good hemp flower is every bit as tasty as mj, just way less THC, has other cannabinoids like CBD. Great medicine for all kinds of conditions.

Damn, way worse than what we had here in Knox County. Quite a bit of snow and wind with some tree limbs down but nothing like that. Power stayed on the whole time, probably just luck. I'm bracing for some wild and weird weather this summer.

Going to give the full-season photoperiod outdoor one more chance, eh? Last year was rough alright. Got my seeds in last night--planted the remaining Pine Tar Kush and Northern Lights beans I bought last year (6 each), plus the seeds I made from each of those and the crosses. Going to have my...

Show us a pic. of the PTK when you get a sec. Getting some nice purple colors? Maybe you have to be outdoors with the chilly fall nights to get that. Mine got pretty dark as we headed into October. This will be the first year I plant my own seeds--great feeling. Will be curious to see how the...

Nice work. How did the PTK flowers turn out? I'm about 2 weeks from planting. Snowing hard up here in Knox County this morning. Say, you probably heard about all those homes around Maine that have been getting bought up by mysterious Chinese buyers and turned into grow operations? Windows...

Effect is very nice, you never know till you try it since everyone's ECS is a little different, but I find it a combo. of uplifting/relaxing, not a couch-lock effect but then again I harvested when a few trichs were just starting to go amber, most milky. If you let it go longer it would probably...

Yeah, I was surprised how late the PTK was, think it was nearly Columbus Day before I harvested last fall, whereas Northern Lights finished in September. Probably lost about 25% of the flowers to mold but then again last fall was a weather nightmare as you well remember.

Surely is. Cracked a jar for about 10 seconds one time, about a minute later my wife calls up from the floor below me, "what's that smell"? Serious terps. and sticky too.

Means it's going to be hotter than a Phoenix parking lot in August! We're going to see some crazy weather this year. Can't believe it's almost time to plant seeds again. Still figuring out my game plan as far as fabric pots vs. in-ground, how many, etc. Definitely going to run more of the Pine...

    old flower and CBN

THC doesn't evaporate (terpenes volatize, maybe that's what you're thinking of?) but it will slowly convert to CBN over time as it ages/oxidizes.

Well as you know it was a challenging year here in New England. There were a few stretches toward the end where I was removing the bad spots every day. I probably lost about 20% or so when all was said and done. I grew it in a fabric pot so was able to move it under cover before any rain but...

Definitely has potential! I'll let you know next fall. Will try to make some seeds and share. To answer your question above, the Pine Tar Kush seeds originally came from Island Life Seeds in BC. I harvested some PTK pollen and dusted a PTK branch in my outdoor grow last year, those are the...

    old flower and CBN

Thanks for sharing your experiences. If it's in the freezer I would guess that slows down the conversion of THC to CBN. I'm going to make some oil with the 2021 flower I have on had and see what that does for lights out. I suppose another approach would be to do a late harvest, when most of...

Appreciate the offer but plenty of PTK seed on hand here from last summer. Go ahead and keep those or pass it along to someone else. Would love a smoke report on the PTK when you get there. Didn't you swear you were done with outdoor after last year's debacle? Just can't quit, huh?

Are you pollinating Pine Tar females or do you have other varieties in the room there? You going to let one female grow sensemilla buds or is this strictly a seed operation at this point? I'll be curious to hear what you think about the finished flowers--I was very impressed with those genetics...

    old flower and CBN

Have you tested your 4-year-old flower? Based on what I've read I would guess some of the THC converted to CBN. I make a coconut oil-based balm, too. Great stuff. Curious to learn more about CBN though and its potential for treating insomnia.

    old flower and CBN

It seems pretty established that THC degrades to CBN over time. I have some flower that I harvested in 2021 and kept stored in mason jars in the dark. Thinking much (most?) of the THC would have converted to CBN at this point. Was thinking of making some infused oil and using it to treat...

The fun never stops, huh? Weighed the harvest and ended up with a pound and a half of Northern Lights, about 6 oz. of Pine Tar Kush, and just an ounce of the Gold Warp (threw most away due to rot). Not a huge haul but far more than I need so plenty to share and give away. Thinking I may give...
