I would say try washing it off. If it is a bit hardened then crape it off and watch the plant for the next couple of days to see if it returns. Be sure that the torch is not the best of plans but you could use it as a last reort
If you are worried about temp, seeing that summer is already on the way out the door, why not try and put up a hot house of sorts. I had some sqauk seed that I threw out the window start to grow so I took some clear plastic bin liner, built a wigwam of sticks over the plants and place the liner...
I agree in the sense that you don't need to worry about humidity and all that. Don't get me wrong here cause I believe water curing is superior to air in many ways. But seeing the circumstances that leplover described; well this is just my opinion but why cause the poor person even more strain...

If these plants started flowering before you transplanted then kiss them goodbye. The biggest problem I would think is the difference in soil. If you had the plants inside in the pots and now planted them outside the air\humidity\temp\soil... would cause the plants to stop growing. You might be...
You setup is brilliantly funny. You bring a whole new meaning to the word "getto". Anyways, All looks good though but unless you plan on watering the plants ALOT I would agree that bringing the temp a bit down might be a good idea. My only concern would be the fact that you have so many hot...
