The headline is a little misleading. It's more of a "we think there might be life there because of this and this" type article. If we actually had undeniable proof of life on another planet, it's be plastered across every headline around the world.

I'm using 7 20-23 watt CFL's, so about 150 watts. I only have one plant and it's a little under 2 feet tall. Na, you'll be fine. Unless you tried to breath in that bigass cloud, they set the cut-off levels on the tests so that 2nd hand smoke wont trigger it.

You talking about the strings tying it down? They're used for low stress training.

Probably not, the only lights I've seen at home depot or lowes are low wattage outdoor lights, not very good for growing. You'd pretty much have to order online or from a proper grow store.

My plant is like that (maybe a little less lol). Been nute burned constantly since day 1, so bad that ALL the fan leaves turned yellow and fell off (thanks miracle grow soil!). And now it's a week away from harvest :D

Yes, that makes a difference. You need a proper HPS ballast for your bulb to work. You'd be better off buying a 150+ watt HPS (with ballast) rather than bothering with that 70. You'd struggle to grow one plant with only that thing.
