So here is my setup, I have approximately a 10 gallon bin that I use to store my water. Inside of this bin is a pump which pumps water into my grow tent (via a flip of a switch) to water my plants. The bin is opaque black and has a black lid so no light penetrates through.
Here is my issue...
The plants are held in Beer Cups
I've yet to use nutrients
I give a thorough watering every 4 days.
The PH was for the soil not the water.
I leave the water to sit in a bin over night to remove and Cl-
I'm also using a LED light eq. to a 400W MH bulb and 2 150W CFLs in the 5000K range.
Temp is low of 70F to a high of 82F.
Soil has 0.4-0.4-0.4 for nutrients
ph levels are 7
RH of 33%
Plant is supposed to be pineapple kush but that cannot be verified.
It's only one plant that is doing this, so it's a bit out of the ordinary.
Not sure if this is a problem or not but one of my two and a half week old plants has turned a darkish/black on the two bottom leaves. Is this odd?
Also is it a good idea to cut the bottom leaves off a 2-3 weeks old plant because they're looking yellowish to divert growth to other leaves? (See...

From the first picture below you can see...
The problem was in the soil. It has zero water retention, hence why it always seemed like it needed watering. Did an emergency transplant and a few are already recovering. View the following link on a little study on the soil.

The growth seems low for 9 days. Should I transplant into the better potting soil that I have? Would that be too much strain on the plants? I'm worriesld that if I don't try something different I'm going to lose them.
Any help would be appreciated!
The soil is jiffy pot planting mix. It's a really lightweight soil and it seems to dry out really quickly. I am watering with tap water that has sat overnight to get rid of the chlorine. It's the same water that I used to germinate my seeds.
It's been about 10 days since I planted the...
